Men's League:

Meeting/Scramble May 19, 2010

The 2010 Men’s League will see some changes aimed at improving the league on both the scoring and pace of play fronts. The teams of 5 will be made up of A, B, C, D players and a senior (E player). The senior matches will be played separately; they can schedule their match any time Wednesday before 2:30pm. The ABCD matches will now be scheduled as a 4:45PM Shotgun. We hope this will help the pace of play, as well as any confusion to weather issues and/or scheduling of tee times. All hole assignments for matches will be made by the pro shop.

Scoring will be changed by each match being worth 1 point, instead of 9. You receive 1 point for a win, ½ point for a halve, and 0 points for a loss. Therefore each team match is worth 5 points. This was changed in an attempt to keep the standings closer. Like last year, the top 8 teams will make the playoffs. Other changes will be discussed during the Meeting/Scramble on May 19th. Ladies League:

Mandatory meeting on May 6, 2010 at 6PM

The ladies league will adopt some of the same changes that the men’s league are making as we believe this will help improve our league in many ways. Teams of 5 will be set up in ABCDE format, and we will be playing a 4:45 shotgun on Thursday afternoons. Anyone who can’t get to the course until 5:00 will still be encouraged to still play, as they can be assigned to a B hole if needed. The scoring will also change like the men to each match being worth 1 point. These changes we hope will lure more ladies to our league!

As usual, our Ladies League is open to both members and public. Public will have the opportunity to buy a Ladies League play pass which will provide a great savings on greens fees. This year’s season will start with a mandatory meeting on May 6th at 6PM.

Free For All:

Friday free for all is open to all association members. This is held every Friday throughout the season. You may play anytime during the day but must not play alone. The entry fee is $5, scorecards must be turned into the pro shop and teams are picked by a blind draw. Payouts are for net team score only.

Scramble

The Monday scramble is open to the public and all members. Form a team of four players and set a tee time anytime Monday 2pm and 6pm. This is a fun filled nine hole scramble in which you can win pro shop credits for gross/net scores and closest to the pin on all par 3’s. Get your team ready to play every Monday. The café is open after for food and beverages. Call pro shop for more info.

Women's Senior League

Bruce Hazelton has agreed to set up a women’s senior league scramble at Toddy Brook similar to the Men's Wednesday morning league. This will on Tuesdays, meet at 12:30 play at 1:00. Open to members and their guests over the age of 55. For more info or to add your name to the list contact Pat Merrill at 846-4566.

Men's Senior Leagues:

Every Wednesday morning at 7:30 all male members and their guests over the age of 60 are welcome to compete in a 9 hole tournament. Teams and format are assigned each week by Bruce Hazelton. You can just show up or give Bruce a call for more info at 829-3427. Be here by 7:00 am.

We have a senior league where we play other courses home and away. You must be over 50 and a member of Toddy Brook to play in this league. Courses included are Toddy Brook, Spring Meadows, Poland Spring, Fox Ridge and Brunswick. This league is in July and August runs for 8 weeks and rotates between Wednesdays and Thursdays. There is a one time initiation fee and a weekly fee to the course you play which includes lunch. For more info contact Blaine Davis at 899-9778.
